Poorer pensioners could pay £20,000 more towards their care costs

The Telegraph reports that an update to the Government’s social care reforms means that the value of State support given to the less well-off will not be included when the cap on costs is calculated, so they will have to spend more of their own money on care before they reach the £86,000 lifetime limit.
